Response to Change of Manager at Bramdean Alternatives Limited

Consensus Business Group (“Consensus”), advisor to Elsina Limited (“Elsina”), notes with interest the announcement by the Board of Bramdean Alternatives Limited (“BRAL” or “the Fund”) that the contract to manage the Fund is to be sold by Bramdean Asset Management (“BAM”) to Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (“Aberdeen”).
Commenting on the move, Vincent Tchenguiz, Chairman of Consensus said:
“The new Board of BRAL, Chaired by Jonathan Carr, was appointed earlier this year with a brief to maximise value for Shareholders. The Board of Elsina – BRAL’s largest shareholder – and I fully endorse and support the outcome of their deliberations. We have known Aberdeen and its Chief Executive, Martin Gilbert, for many years and we look forward to cooperating with them and with the Board. We have every confidence in their ability to successfully manage the future growth of the Fund.”

Elsina Limited holds 925,000 Sterling shares in Bramdean and 73,438,431 Dollar shares in BRAL which in aggregate represent 28.72 per cent. of the total voting rights in BRAL.
