We are a major investor in UK real estate, either as principal or with joint venture partners. Our portfolio contains an eclectic mix of property types, including petrol stations, nursing homes, hotels and student accommodation as well as the more usual office and industrial properties. Each investment is characterised by a highly-rated tenant and a long-term lease, providing a strong certainty of income.

We have an established track record in structuring sale and leaseback transactions, balancing the issues of price, initial rental, review pattern and lease duration to arrive at a mutually acceptable balance of risk and reward.

Public Sector Activities

We have a significant equity shareholding in a programme funding the expansion of publicly regulated entities such as housing associations and higher education corporations. The programme specialises in devising bespoke solutions for its counterparties and has a track record in higher education that incorporates approximately 8,000 student study bed spaces together with learning resource centres, academic and administrative accommodation.

Our activities in the Housing Association sector include the funding of sheltered housing, market and sub-market rented housing, and student and key worker homes. We are increasingly entering into three-way transactions with housing associations and universities, where the housing association will manage the building on our behalf to meet the requirements of the university.
We aim to enter into long-term collaborative arrangements with our counter-parties. Acting in consortia, we bring together efficient access to the debt market, development and construction expertise, and professionalism in property management.
