Consensus Residential Estates (‘CRE’) represents the companies and investments held by Consensus across all of the Group’s residential property interests and is centred around the Group’s relationships with all of the major UK house builders.  It aims to harness a multi-faceted relationship with multiple links into the house-building community, encompassing all aspects of the residential property value chain, including:

Joint venturing in regeneration; social housing; student housing; key worker housing; ground rents & freeholds; off-plan funds; property management; estate agency; mortgages; conveyancing; property funds; corporate solutions; environmental solutions; and home technologies.

CRE acts as an umbrella organisation operating across a wide spectrum of property-centric organisations. and aims to enhance value through exploiting the synergies between these organisations. Both investees and Consensus benefit from these synergistic business relationships across the UK house building sector.

The portfolio is continually growing and currently comprises numerous investments within public and privately held organisations.  Consensus is constantly seeking to enhance and expand this portfolio and to add further suitable investments,.

Consensus has recently acquired a stake in the Challenger Infrastructure Fund. Inexcus, the major underlying portfolio company, connects half the UK new builds to electricity and gas.
